Legal Requirements
Gan International Airport is an aerodrome serving international and domestic air transport operations by handling aircraft with passenger seating capacities well beyond 30. The Civil Aviation Regulations Part 13 stipulates that an aerodrome certificate is required for an aerodrome if the passenger seating capacity of the aircraft employed in the operations exceeds 30 seats.
As a condition for the issue of an Aerodrome Certificate by the CAD, the aerodrome operator is required to produce and maintain an Aerodrome Manual in conformity with the requirements set out in Air Safety Circular OPS 25 – Manual on certification of aerodromes.
